Important things to remember when using the ‘Shop’ partners section

To earn bonus points as per the shop partners advertised earning rates, app user member should note:

  • Although Loyalty Republic promotes debit card(s) for points earning via the ‘Link your bank account’ feature, app users can use ANY form of payment when shopping at Shop partners and earn points, provided they click on the Shop online now link prior to purchase.
  • Click on the ‘Shop online now’ link from within the relevant Shop partner offer page within the Loyalty Republic app and then use the same mobile device to complete the online purchase from that Shop partner retailer.
  • The Shop partners are online only offers. If an app user who has clicked on a Shop partner retailer ‘Shop online now’ link then goes in store to purchases, points will not be awarded. 
  • Be sure to return to the app each time you decide to purchase online from a Shop partner retailer, and click on the ‘Shop online now’ link to confirm tracking, to ensure you earn points from Loyalty Republic on the transaction.
  • Points are awarded on completed transactions only. Loyalty Republic places no restriction on the payment method with any of the Shop partners.
  • Individual Shop partners may have specific points earning conditions, and these may change from time to time. Shop partner earn rates are either a flat rate points earn rate without conditions, or a conditional points earn rate. The Shop partners with conditions on points earning are detailed from the top of this page.
  • Points earned from Shop partner transactions may take up to 45 days after the transaction to be awarded. When they are awarded, they will show up in the ‘Wallet’ section of the app.
  • Whole points are issued only. No fractions of points awarded, nor are their fractions of points carried over to the following month. If the calculation of points on a transaction results in a fraction of a point, the points awarded will be rounded up to the nearest whole number.
  • For example, the number of points earned on a $49.95 transaction on a Shop retail partner offering 8 points per $1 spent is calculated as: $49.95 x 8 = 399.6 points = 400 points.

  • To earn 100 bonus points via ‘Your Local’, you must submit an accurate and validated lead through the ‘Nominate Your Local’ page within the app, including: Business Name, Contact Person, Mobile Number and Email Address.
  • To earn 5,000 bonus points, you must also include your email and full name in the text box on the ‘Nominate Your Local’ page within the app, and the business must join our network and participate with a minimum trial period.
  • The bonus 5,000 points may take up to 90 days to be awarded after the referred business joins Loyalty Republic ‘Your Local’.
  • Bonus 100 points for the valid referral may take up to 45 days to be awarded.
  • There is no cap on bonus points that could be earned by app user members via ‘Your Local’ submissions, provided they are valid

eMall

  • Bonus points are only awarded on completed eMall orders and fully processed payments.
  • Bonus points may take up to 30 days to be awarded after your eMall order has been processed.
  • eMall bonus points earned will show up in the Wallet function of the Loyalty Republic mobile app with description ‘eMall order bonus’

The number of bonus points awarded from an eMall order, is determined by the value or nature of the order and is described as follows:

  • Gift cards (any denomination): 50 bonus points
  • Merchandise items up to $500 in value: 150 bonus points
  • Merchandise items over $500 in value: 250 bonus points

Payment options on the eMall

The Loyalty Republic eMall is integrated with PayPal in such a way that in the event that an app user member has less points than the number of points required on a particular item, PayPal can be used to allow the app user member to pay the value of the difference.

PayPal can be used to support this points deficit payment in various ways depending on the app user preferences and whether or not they would prefer to pay via a PayPal account or via a standard debit or credit card, see below:

Pay via standard debit or credit card

  • App user members without a PayPal account can select to check out eMall purchases via PayPal as a guest. This allows the app user member to simply use PayPal as a payment gateway and complete their eMall transaction using their standard debit or credit card.

Points Now Pay Later™

  • App user members who have a PayPal account may have the PayPal pay in 4 available to them. If so, these app user members can pay the value of their eMall transaction using PayPal pay in 4. Get points now, pay later.

Points Plus

  • Points Plus describes the common scenario where a transaction on the eMall is part paid with the app user members held points balance and part paid via PayPal. As above when checking out with PayPal the app user member can nominate, based on their preferences, whether they would pay PayPal component of this eMall transaction via their PayPal account, or via standard debit or credit card.
